Ah, sure, and isn’t it grand news altogether! The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has gone and struck up a fine new partnership with the good folks over at Unibet, a betting brand owned by the Kindred Group.
Under the terms of this mighty fine deal, Unibet will proudly stand as the official sportsbook and betting partner of PFL Europe, spreading its wings across the lands of the UK and France.
This two-year arrangement comes just in time for the upcoming PFL Europe 1 event, set to kick off in Paris on Thursday, the 7th of March.
James Frewin, the SVP of International at PFL, shared his delight, saying, “The PFL is proud to partner with UNIBET, the leading sportsbook for mixed martial arts across Europe. PFL Europe and UNIBET share many synergies, and we’re excited to provide fans across the UK and France an opportunity to enjoy a premium gaming experience.”
And Neil Banbury, Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer of the Kindred Group, chimed in with his own excitement, “It is always Kindred’s ambition to partner with ambitious, forward-looking sports organisations. The speed of PFL’s growth and its undoubted potential made this an easy choice from our perspective. We can’t wait to support the PFL on its evolution, and we’re counting down the days until our partnership officially begins.”
This here addition of Unibet to PFL Europe’s sponsorship crew follows a string of bold moves by the MMA organization, as it aims to shake up the fight game and give the UFC a run for its money.
And sure, wasn’t 2023 a mighty year for the PFL? With the likes of Jake Paul joining the fray, the signing of Francis Ngannou, and even the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund throwing their hat in the ring, it’s clear the PFL ain’t messing about. And if that wasn’t enough, they went and scooped up Bellator too, just to add a bit more spice to the mix!
So, keep your eyes peeled, folks, for there’s never a dull moment in the world of PFL. And sure, if you want to stay up to date with all the latest sporting shenanigans, be sure to subscribe to the Sport Industry Daily. Cheers to the fight game, and may the odds be ever in your favour!
